Half Model of the Sloop Providence

This half model was built by Christopher N. Hitchcock (on the left) while he was still in the Marine Corps, for the Marine Barracks at Ft. George Meade in Maryland. The Sloop Providence was selected as it made the first U.S. Marines landing in 1776. Accepting the half model (on the right) is Major Pat Gibbons.
