Hitchcock Models at the Ships of the Sea Museum, Savannah, Georgia

	The ANNE was the ship on which the first colonists sailed to Savannah (in the new colony of Georgia) in 1732.
The CITY OF SAVANNAH, built in 1877, was the flagship of the Ocean Steamship Company of Savannah.
	The WANDERER was a pleasure yacht that became infamous for carrying contraband slaves to the Georgia coast on the eve of the Civil War.
The LANGUEDOC was the flagship of the French admiral who bombarded British-occupied Savannah during the Revolution.
	In 1819, the SAVANNAH was the first steamship to cross the Atlantic Ocean on a voyage to England, Sweden and Russia.
