R.M.S. Titanic Diorama 2002
 |
This diorama of the R.M.S. Titanic was commissioned by the Ships of the Sea Museum to complement another diorama that William Hitchcock had made the water for. This time, William and Christopher created the diorama from scratch, again showing the doomed ocean liner after it hit the iceberg in April of 1912, but with the lifeboats already rowing away before she begins her death throes. |

The water is so realistic that one wants to put their finger in it to see if it is really water or not. When asked how they made the water look like this, both Hitchcocks claim it's a family secret.
The photos show the size of the diorama, which was over four feet long. Some offer close-ups of the decks and other features of the R.M.S. Titanic. |
